recited to his wife when they first met, and among the last he heard before he died Sept. 7. "I leaned over and said `babe, nobody can do poetry like you. It has to be Emil's way.' He nodded his head `yes,"' said Rose, his wife of 25 years.
"He did it beautifully, like nobody will ever be able to do it," she said of her husband's poetry recitations.
