Poetic Obituaries: It was the first poem Dr. Emil Martinez

recited to his wife when they first met, and among the last he heard before he died Sept. 7.

"I leaned over and said `babe, nobody can do poetry like you. It has to be Emil's way.' He nodded his head `yes,"' said Rose, his wife of 25 years.

"He did it beautifully, like nobody will ever be able to do it," she said of her husband's poetry recitations.
