Great Regulars: I've always loved animals. Everyone

thinks it's because of my dad, but it's not. He wrote about animals but didn't rescue them. My gorgeous Bengal eagle owl is called Arthur after King Arthur. He likes to be higher than me, so I walk around with him on my shoulder. He eats day-old chicks which I buy frozen in bulk and chop in half with scissors--it took me ages not to be squeamish about that.
