excelled at oil painting--focusing on landscapes--was a prolific poem writer, and gifted floral arranger.Maryellen was a member of the Butler Historical Society and enjoyed reading and crafts. An avid traveler, she seemed always drawn to the ocean, though a trip to Ireland was her complete delight.
