Great Regulars: The winners of this year's poetry competition,

adjudicated by Alan Jenkins, Poetry editor of the TLS and Alice Quinn, Executive Director of the Poetry Society of America, are: First Prize(£1,500): "The Pump", by Peter Daniels of London; Second Prize (£750): "Head on a Desert Road", by Marianne Burton, also of London; Third Prize (£500): "The Rose Bush", byAnthony Miles of San Francisco. Runners up (£100 each): "Paleontographer", by Emma Gorenberg of Ann Arbor, MI; "Happly Ever After", by Stephen Knight, of Twickenham; and"Hope", by Thomas Knowles, of Sutton Coldfield.
