News at Eleven (Back Page): With more than 50 poets and musicians

on hand for what organizers say is the biggest poetry gathering in North America, events occurred at 10 Newark sites over the four days. "I'm hearing they've been very busy and full," said Christopher Daggett, president and CEO of the Dodge Foundation. Youth events on Friday and Saturday drew more than 5,500 students, he said.

"The goal was to turn it into a poetry village and I think it was, Daggett said. "People were standing outside sharing words, sharing thoughts, sharing experiences."
