America's 17th poet laureate, offered another warning to his country."This just once, I would like to be able to say in a public and reasonably efficient way what I feel that we are doing," Merwin told a crowd of several hundred at the John H. Mulroy Civic Center. "I think we are destroying everything that's been given to us."
