frequently traveled to New York where he became enamored of the beatnik scene.
Back home, he founded "Neurotica," a poetry magazine "by and for neurotics," that was designed to explore the creativity of those who were forced to "live underground" and depend on music, poetry, painting and writing to bring light into their lives.
After publishing a few issues, Landesman moved to New York to be closer to the publishing scene and there he met Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and other pioneers of the Beat Generation.
