in writing from Spalding University in Kentucky and wrote several books, including the poetry collections "But I Say" and "Perfect Pitch," and short story collections, "A Toast to Reason" and "The Bay Round About." Her work has also appeared in several anthologies.
She was a devoted member of many writing and book groups, including the Foxfire Book Group in the West County.
