Anyway, here he is, [Anish Kapoor,] probably the biggest name in world sculpture. He has achieved what several gen­­erations of modernists failed to do: he makes high art that is popular. Thousands crowd around his huge Cloud Gate, in Chicago--where it is known as "the bean"--and his Shooting into the Corner, at the Royal Academy, was a popular sensation.
