he [Shantarasa Hemberalu] established a forum of writers in 1948 and published a literary magazine "Musuku There," a collection of poems, essays and social commentaries. The work is said to be a milestone in the history of Kannada literature produced in the Hyderabad Karnataka region. He authored four anthologies of poems, five short story collections, four plays, four research volumes, five biographies, a novel and a number of articles on various issues.
