Poetic Obituaries: Poets and poetry were as much a part

of Dr. Daniel C. Tosteson as the lab and the conference room. With a poet's touch for combining an image, a rhythm, and a turn of phrase into a resonant stanza, he gathered innovative approaches to training physicians and created a ground-breaking course of study at Harvard Medical School that he believed would help his students become better doctors.
