He came into close contact with Triloka Sitaram – the Telugu born metaphysical Tamil poet. Dr TNR translated the Tamil poems of Triloka Sitaram in the bi-lingual (English and Tamil) journal called Shivaji (originally started in Tamil by Triloka Sitaram). The sudden death of his bosom friend Triloka Sitaram was a great shock to Dr TNR. Just as the great English poet Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) was shattered by the untimely death of his friend Arthur Hallam, so also Dr TNR was shattered by his friend's demise.

I am happy to inform that Dr.TNR has been conferred with Bharathiyar Viruthu by the TamilNadu Government on 15-01-2010.
I have the good fortune of moving with him in day today basis. He has a voluminous library.His interests are multidimentional.Translation of Bharathiyaar songs and the Tamil Thirumarai into English are his passion. He has made his presence
felt in those fields and made an undelibale mark. He has turned 75 in August 2009. May God bless him with healthy body and mind.Sathamaanam Bhavathi.May he live a hundred years!
