Dear Poetry Aficionados,
Poetry & Poets in Rags blog
We have a nature theme running through many of the articles this week. Our Back Page link--the eleventh out of eleven in News at Eleven--is about meteors in 1860. The one before that, is about "the land where Evangeline had come." Leading up to that is a link to an article called "Ode to Nature". And before that comes a review of a book called "Seeing Stars". But before we get to these articles, we visit Canada for the Griffin, Wales for a new Children's Poet Laureate, Prague for a writers' festival, and then we look at poets from around the world.
You'll find some terrific poetry in News at Eleven this week, and as always in our Great Regulars section, which follows News at Eleven. Also in this section are several thought-provoking articles. These writers aren't called Great Regulars for nothing. Then before you leave, be sure to check out the Poetic Obituaries. Important people to poetry have passed away.
Thanks for clicking in.
Yours,
Rus
