her husband of 57 years, Alan, in 1953, the couple settled in Hinsdale and began raising a family. But Mrs. [Helen J.] Anderson still kept a hand in the journalism world, submitting freelance travel stories to the Tribune and writing letters to the editor and satirical poems for community newspapers."She was the poet laureate of Hinsdale," said longtime friend and fellow Hinsdale resident Carl Weber. "When it came to her poems, you'd always read from the first word to the last."
