Poetic Obituaries: Before S4C, she [Angharad Jones] worked as a

television writer and as a poet.

She was awarded the Urdd Eisteddfod Crown in Mold in 1984 for a short novel.

The Literature Medal of the Bro Colwyn followed at the National Eisteddfod in 1995 for her volume Y Dylluan Wen, The White Owl, later adapted for TV.

Ms Jones had been a contributor to the Talwrn y Beirdd poetry competition series.

She also wrote material for the singer Sian James.
