Poetic Obituaries: The deceased Møller was a published poet

and author. He released an autobiography in 2002 detailing his time spent in a psychiatric hospital and his troubles with alcohol.

At the time of the book's release, the father and son had not spoken with other for some time, but the author remembered his childhood years fondly.

'He made some of my childhood years an adventure. He was my idol when I was a boy. When he sat and reading and crossed out text, I crossed out things in my kid's books to copy him,' [Asger Stig] Møller said in an interview at the time.
