Dear Poetry Aficionados,
Poetry & Poets in Rags blog
We begin this second week of National Poetry Month, with an article called "Poet and Anti-Poet." Next, I suppose I should have placed the article that was Anti-National Poetry Month. But slipped in between, is a reading of a Robert Frost poem, that really is a headliner on its own.
The articles on poetry keep coming in this month, and the narrowing gets tough and then tougher. We have some excellent interviews, excellent looks at books, excellent looks at poets, some excellent looks at poetry, and a Pulitzer announcement. These just in our News at Eleven section.
In Great Regulars, we hear from Fatima Bhutto twice, Fleda Brown, Olivia Cole, Marianne Combs, Bill Diskin, Judith Fitzgerald, Linda Sue Grimes, Bob Hoover, Garrison Keiller, Adam Kirsch, Ted Kooser, Luisetta Mudie, Christopher Nield, Jay Parini, and Carol Rumens. Then we have poetry from The Atlantic, CounterPunch, The Guardian, The New Yorker, The Oregonian, PBS Newshour, San Antonio Express-News, and Slate. These are followed by some excellent articles and poetry in our Poetic Obituaries section.
Thanks for clicking in.
Yours,
Rus
