Great Regulars: For if [Roy] Campbell seemed to

be looking for something, he seemed also to have found it. Perhaps this is why he translated "First Glimpse of African Shores", by the Portuguese poet J. Paco d'Arcos, a poem that captures both the physical need to wander and the inner stillness--"Of images seen far away/Of life/Of the earth/And of himself"--to which it leads.
