compiling his remaining work, as he had contributed a lot but could not see his books of more short stories, poetry and columns published. Idrees Jatoi, author of a book on criticism, said that Qamar Shahbaz was the only writer of radio drama in early sixties. His poetry inspired later generations. Shahbaz was a vocal person as compared to other intellectuals advocating the issues of Sindhi language, art and literature. He has been a contributor for Sindhi dailies such as Hilal-e-Pakistan, Awami Awaz, Barsat, Ibrat and Kawish as a versatile columnist.
