or "fed too much with cloying melody"? Can we deny it? At the beginning of the twenty-first century, we are perhaps living in the most noise-polluted environment ever. Everywhere we go, we are accompanied by pounding music, chattering and perpetual bustle.
Where can we find sanctuary? Where can we seek restoration? Back at the "Cavern's Mouth"--an image that brings nature, feasting, speech, and poetry all together. In solitude we go deep within ourselves.
