and Creative Writing teacher at Solano Community College from 1980 until he retired on May 22, 2009. In a message sent out to the faculty of SCC, Dr. Jowel Laguerre said that in addition to teaching, Mr. Duval was highly influential and active in making and keeping the Creative Writing Department at SCC.
