News at Eleven: [Suzanne] Steele's words are at the heart

of the Calgary Philharmonic's ambitious Afghanistan: Requiem for a Generation, a collaboration that features Steele's poetry, composer Jeffrey Ryan's music, CPO music director Roberto Minczuk, the 75 piece orchestra, and two choirs, including the Cantare Girls Choir--a total of 275 artists in all.

The requiem has its world debut Saturday at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. The performance is being aired nationally on the CBC on Sunday.
