Poetic Obituaries: On 7 April the Manager of the Joint Nuclear

Research Insitute officially declared that the Nuclear Reactions Laboratory had synthesized the new 117th element. The Russian physicists carried out the experiments together with scientists from three US national laboratories. Hard work lasted for nearly a year. And finally [Alexey] Sisakian had a chance to go on holiday. In Cyprus on 1 May he had a multiple heart attack. The scientist published five books of poems. In one poem he wrote that he was walking in Paris, looking at the Notre Dame and thinking of Moscow. He loved Moscow and he will be buried in it on 7 May.
