Poetic Obituaries: An athlete, Kate [Huether] excelled in soccer,

swimmimg, and lacrosse. A creative thinker, Kate also loved to write, including poetry.

She was a Girl Scout and participated in a student exchange program to New Zealand and Austrailia with People To People.

After high school, she moved to Vermont, then to Portland, to work and attend college.

An avid hiker, Kate loved the outdoors.
