contacted his mother. He sent her a text that read: "I love you, good night."The Olathe South senior would have graduated in May and looked forward to a career in the military.
He was eager to do well in school and to please his parents.
"He always wanted to make me proud," his mother, Melinda Riddell, said.
Riddell had varied interests, ranging from writing songs and poems to playing football and tennis. His latest obsession was inline skating.
