I don't write for a publication or for a show. I try to write something that will move me or tickle me or please me. I try to imagine what if I didn't write it--would it sound good to me? So there'll probably be some new things in the show. But it's not my way to say now I'm writing a poem, now I'm writing a song. I always say to my students that writing is a little bit like drowning; you grab anything, you do anything. You just want to stay afloat.
