Dear Poetry Aficionados,
Poetry & Poets in Rags blog
A theme develops further this week, in which the sick fools running some of the countries on our home planet, are keeping poets and artists from travelling. We begin with the open letter from Liao Yiwu, who was kept by the feeble-minded Chinese government from going to Germany. We then link to the story about Simin Behbahani who was kept by the substandard Iranian oppressors from going to France. These stories begin our News at Eleven section. Scroll down to Luisetta Mudie in Great Regulars, who brings us two stories, one of imprisoned writer Tan Zuoren and the other of imprisoned artist Tashi Dhondup, both being held by the aforementioned Chinese bullies in the sick games of No Escape and Hard Labor. Of course, the good people in Iran and China will not be reading this, because part of the sociopathetic thought control program in both of those countries involves censoring the internet. My message to the despotic people of these countries, who can still read this themselves, unlike the good people around them: Step down, get out of the way.
Thanks, good readers, for clicking in.
Yours,
Rus
