Poetic Obituaries: Following her retirement, Edith [Howard]

was pressed into public service to head the Tornado Disaster Recovery Team and then later, the Cheyenne Flood Recovery Program. She was selected as Cheyenne's Woman of the Year for these efforts. She was recognized as Wyoming's Woman of the Year in 2006. She wrote poetry, published a family history, and edited "Johnny and Me," a memoir of Barry Boschelli's boyhood with a notorious criminal.
